Meivakantie
Het museum is van 28 april tot en met 12 mei eerder geopend, vanaf 10 tot 17 uur.
Ook op maandag 6 mei is het museum geopend voor uw bezoek.
Tijdens de meivakantie zijn er elke dag rondleidingen door het buitengebied om 11:30 uur en 14 uur.
Deze zijn gratis indien u in bezit bent van een entreebewijs voor het museum.
4 mei Nationale Dodenherdenking
Op 4 mei herdenken wij door verschillende activiteiten de slachtoffers van de Tweede Wereldoorlog en van Kamp Amersfoort.
Publieksrondleidingen: vanaf 10:30 uur
Er vinden op 4 mei vanaf 10:30 uur elke uur publieksrondleidingen (gratis in combinatie met een entreebewijs voor het museum) door het buitengebied van Nationaal Monument Kamp Amersfoort plaats. De laatste begint om 15:30 uur.
Theater na de Dam: 12 uur, 14 uur en 16 uur (uitverkocht)
Voor de theatervoorstelling ‘Toen zij wilden vertellen’ verdiepten zich jongeren uit Amersfoort onder leiding van theatermakers Maike Pijnappel en Julia Spoelstra in de geschiedenis van Kamp Amersfoort tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Zij spraken met nabestaanden van mensen die in het kamp gevangen zaten omdat ze verzet tegen de nazi’s boden. Deze gesprekken, vol herinneringen en verhalen, vormen samen met ander bronmateriaal de basis van de voorstelling.
Jannetjesdal, Leusderheide
Om 13:30 uur is de herdenking op de Leusderheide in het Jannetjesdal. U bent welkom om 13:00 uur bij de parkeerplaats van de Genschauloods (Kolonel van Roijenweg). Vanaf daar wandelen wij gezamenlijk naar het herdenkingskruis op de Leusderheide waar het programma begint. Wij beginnen met een muzikale bijdrage door Harold K. Rudi Harthoorn zal over de communistische gevangenen van Kamp Amersfoort spreken, er is een bloemlegging. Wij eindigen om 14:30 uur met een wandeling terug naar de parkeerplaats.
Aanmelden is niet nodig.
Stille Tocht
In de avond van 4 mei nodigen de burgemeesters van Amersfoort en Leusden u uit om deel te nemen aan de Stille Tocht langs meerdere eerbetonen voor gevallen soldaten tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog, vanaf Nationaal Monument Kamp Amersfoort naar de Rusthof.
U bent vanaf 18 uur welkom bij Nationaal Monument Kamp Amersfoort. Om 18:30 uur begint het programma met een toespraak door Arjeh Kalmann (journalist en voormalig hoofdredacteur van het Utrechts Nieuwsblad en de Amersfoortse Courant.)
Daarna begint de tocht langs verschillende monumenten en herinneringsplekken waar bloemen gelegd worden en Burgemeester Bolsius een toespraak houdt. Gezamenlijk zullen wij om 20:00 uur 2 minuten in stilte alle oorlogsslachtoffers herdenken. Wij eindigen om 20:15 uur bij de Rusthof.
Aanmelden is niet nodig.
5 mei bevrijdingsdag
Op 5 mei vieren wij ook bij Nationaal Monument Kamp Amersfoort de bevrijding!
Het museum is vanaf 10 uur geopend.
Publieksrondleidingen: vanaf 11 uur
Vanaf 11:00 uur zijn er elke uur publieksrondleidingen door het buitengebied (gratis in combinatie met een entreebewijs voor het museum).
De laatste begint om 15:00 uur.
Let op: de tijden voor de publieksrondleidingen op zaterdag 4 mei en zondag 5 mei verschillen!
Op zaterdag beginnen deze om 10:30 uur, op zondag om 11:00 uur.

Het jongerentheater speelt nog een laatste voorstelling van ‘Toen zij wilden vertellen’.
May holiday
During the May holiday (April 28th to May 12th) the museum opens earlier, from 10 am to 5 pm.
The museum is also open for your visit on Monday, May 6th.
During the May holiday, we offer guided tours of the outdoor area at 11:30 am and 2 pm.
These are free if you have an entrance ticket to the museum.
4TH OF MAY NATIONAL REMEMBRANCE DAY
On May 4th, we commemorate the victims of World War II and Kamp Amersfoort through various activities.
Guided tours: starting from 10:30 am
On May 4th, guided tours (free with a museum entrance ticket) of the outdoor area of National Monument Kamp Amersfoort take place every hour starting from 10:30 am.
The last tour starts at 3:30 pm.

For the theater production “When They Wanted to Tell,” young people from Amersfoort, under the guidance of theater makers Maike Pijnappel and Julia Spoelstra, delved into the history of Kamp Amersfoort during World War II. They spoke with relatives of people who were imprisoned in the camp for resisting the Nazis. These conversations, full of memories and stories, along with other source materials, form the basis of the performance.
Jannetjesdal, Leusderheide
At 1:30 pm, there will be a commemoration at the Leusderheide in Jannetjesdal. You are welcome at 1:00 pm at the parking lot of the Genschauloods (Kolonel van Roijenweg). From there, we will walk together to the memorial cross on the Leusderheide where the program begins. We start with a musical contribution by Harold K. Rudi Harthoorn will speak about the communist prisoners of Kamp Amersfoort and we will lay flowers. We will end at 2:30 pm with a walk back to the parking lot.
Registration is not necessary.
Silent March
In the evening of May 4th, the mayors of Amersfoort and Leusden invite you to participate in the Silent March past several tributes to fallen soldiers during World War II, from National Monument Kamp Amersfoort to the Rusthof.
You are welcome at National Monument Kamp Amersfoort from 6 pm. The program begins at 6:30 pm with a speech by Arjeh Kalmann (journalist and former editor-in-chief of the Utrechts Nieuwsblad and the Amersfoortse Courant). Then the march begins past various monuments and memorial sites where flowers will be laid and Mayor Bolsius will give a speech. Together, we will commemorate all war victims in silence for 2 minutes at 8:00 pm. We will end at 8:15 pm at the Rusthof.
Registration is not necessary.
5TH OF MAY LIBERATION DAY
On May 5th, we also celebrate the liberation at National Monument Kamp Amersfoort!
The museum opens at 10 am.
Guided tours: starting from 11 am
From 11:00 am, there are guided tours of the outdoor area every hour (free with a museum entrance ticket).
The last tour starts at 3:00 pm.
Please note: the times for public tours on Saturday, May 4th, and Sunday, May 5th, differ!
On Saturday, they start at 10:30 am, and on Sunday, they start at 11:00 am.
